Before you decide
The doubts people raise before starting
Your Excel stays. Makatea takes your portfolio and sends the notices you write by hand today. What costs money is the time of whoever writes each message. Work it out with your numbers on the pricing page.
It stays. Makatea does not replace your admin system or your accounting. You export your portfolio as CSV and Makatea sends the notices and records payments. The API connects it automatically whenever you want.
They don't need to. The notice carries the amount and your gateway's link to pay without writing to you. If your calendar has an email step, an email is added automatically from day 10 to 30 overdue. It goes to customers with an email on file. From day 31 your team gets a follow-up task.
No. The payment goes straight to your account. The payment link charges through the gateway you connect. Makatea only records that the payment came in. We charge no commission on what you recover.
Nobody can promise it won't. Makatea lowers the risk with fixed rules. One message per customer per day goes out, spaced out on each line. Your account has a daily cap and you set the sending hours. Anyone who asks to stop no longer gets WhatsApp and their pending notices are cancelled. What gets numbers blocked most is cold messages to strangers. Makatea writes to people who are already your customers.
Not to start. You upload your portfolio file in the format you already use. The API and webhooks are there for when you want to connect your system.
